About the Author
Keegan Allen is an actor, photographer, and writer, who currently appears as Toby Cavanaugh on the ABC Family television series Pretty Little Liars. Allen also has appeared in several films, including Bukowski and The Sound and the Fury (directed by James Franco) and Palo Alto (directed by Gia Coppola). He debuted off-Broadway in the play Small Engine Repair by John Pollano. He lives in Los Angeles, California.

delightful. charming

I took up photography late in life and just a few years ago. I only shoot film and am always searching for new books about film photography (rare as they are). I pre-ordered this book with the suspicion that there would be at least some small tribute to film. I was completely ignorant of the young author - and his work as an actor. More important to me. . . he has an XPan!
I did not expect to be so thoroughly charmed by this book. It is sweet and he is talented. His images (which appear to be all shot on film), are seriously GOOD. A nice mix of "urban", "noir" and thoughtful portraits - plus much more. His words and poems are eloquent, touching, and I enjoy reading them as much as viewing the photos. I am so happy that Mr. Allen shared his very early photos and the stories behind them; because well, it is a delightful, relatable read and I am always interested in how "photographic journeys" begin. Thank you for sharing. Your book has inspired me. I hope there will be a 2nd someday. . .

worth every penny!

Absolutely amazing. I read it all in one sitting. Keegan's photography is beautiful, even the photos he took as a 10 year old boy are mind blowing. The poetry/lyrics are just wow (made me cry) and it was really neat to get a glimpse at all the behind the scenes of filmmaking. I bought this book solely based on his photography from Instagram (the only thing I have ever seen him act in is Palo Alto) and I'm blown away. You have a fan for life, Keegan.

Not a shallow book. I admit, i only bought it because Im a PLL fan. But the book amazed me. The depth involved was astounding. As an art fanatic, this will be a fav of mine for years to come.
