About the Author
Jennifer Rothschild has written 13 books and Bible studies, including the bestsellers, Lessons I Learned in the Dark and Self-Talk, Soul-Talk. She has appeared on Good Morning America, Dr. Phil, Life Today, and a Billy Graham television special and spoken for Women of Faith and Extraordinary Women. She is the founder of the Fresh Grounded Faith conferences and womensministry.net. She lost her sight at age 15 and regularly travels and speaks around the country, sharing her story and all God has done in her life. Jennifer lives with her family in Missouri.

A Really Pretty Book

The book starts with an introduction and then goes into the first book of the Bible, Genesis, then the second, Exodus and so on. Each book of the Bible is given a theme and a 2 page devotional on how God shows His people love through that book. The writing is simple to understand, yet written about the scripture and not from stories of personal experience. Within each devotion, there are several scripture references from that book. It is nice that it sticks to the Bible, but it is definitely not a book that is going to take you into deep profound revelation.
It is, however, encouraging. It is a feel good book to remind you that you are deeply loved by God and how history reveals that to us in His actions. Sometimes that reminder is what we really need. Love is what we long for as moms, dads, sons, daughters, as human beings. Don't forget that you are loved.....and these are all the ways that God has shown and continues to show us that.
Just by design alone, the book is geared toward a female, but content is not specifically geared toward any one gender, but to followers as a whole. I like this book, but was not overly impressed with it. I would recommend it, but would not say it is a go out and must buy. It might make a cute stocking stuffer or addition to a little gift basket with tea or coffee.

66 chapters of the greatest love story of all time! I love how Jennifer finds the person of Jesus in every chapter of the Bible - even the Old Testament! A beautifully packaged writing - perfect for gift giving. I placed a copy in the break room at work -- very rewarding to see people picking it up and reading it as they eat their lunch! Well done Jennifer Rothschild!!

Was so excited to get this in the mail. So beautiful - inside and out. My 13 year old daughter also loved the idea of the book exploring how God loves us in all 66 books of the Bible. Will definitely be giving this book as gifts for Christmas.
